Lemon Squeezy, identified at checkout. Lemon Squeezy is the seller of record for the purchase. It handles payment processing, currency, taxes, invoicing, cancellation, chargebacks, and refund administration under its own buyer terms, which are shown at checkout. The exact contracting entity is the one named on your order confirmation.
Contact the Merchant of Record about payment, invoicing, and refunds. Contact the Licensor about how the software works, licensing, and conformity.
2. What you are buying
A perpetual Individual License to use the software. This is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. There is no automatic renewal and no recurring charge.
An Individual License is for one person. That person may install and use the software on any number of computers they own or are authorized and regularly assigned to use, including an employer-owned computer assigned to them. The license may not be shared with or used by another person.
Nest 1.x — main characteristics
A Windows desktop application for organizing documents locally: importing, describing, viewing, indexing, searching, and exporting. Nest copies imported files into a managed library and is designed not to modify or delete the source file. Nest is a document organizer — it is not a backup service, cloud storage, archival certification, or a disaster-recovery system, and it should not be used as your only copy or only system of record.
Guard 1.x — main characteristics
A Windows desktop application for creating, managing, verifying, and restoring file snapshots and archives. Guard is a backup and snapshot tool, not a managed backup service or a guarantee against data loss.
Important — Guard does not encrypt Archive contents. Unless Guard expressly states that a particular Archive is encrypted, assume that anyone with access to the Archive storage can read the stored file content and metadata. If confidentiality matters, use appropriate operating-system, full-disk, device, volume, or storage-provider encryption and keep recovery keys safely backed up.
Snapshots and Archives are not proven backups until completion is confirmed, integrity is verified, and restoration is tested. Do not use a single Guard Archive as the only copy of important data.
3. Technical requirements and interoperability
- Microsoft Windows desktop operating system.
- Sufficient local disk space for the library (Nest) or Archives (Guard); Archive size depends on the data you protect.
- No account and no internet connection are required for normal use. Both products are designed for offline operation.
- Neither product sends automatic analytics or telemetry to Albedo One. An update check occurs only when you choose "Check for updates."
- Licensing is enforced by a license file and, during evaluation, a time-limited Trial. These are technical protection measures. You are responsible for keeping your license file confidential, because a person who obtains it may be able to use it.
Specific supported Windows versions and any further requirements are stated on the product download page.
4. Price and payment
The price, currency, and any applicable tax are shown at checkout before you confirm the order. There are no delivery charges, because delivery is electronic. Payment methods available to you are shown at checkout by the Merchant of Record.
5. Free trial before purchase
Both products include a 30-day Trial requiring no account and no payment card. You are encouraged to evaluate the software during the Trial before buying.
After the Trial expires without a paid license:
- Nest enters read-only mode. Existing documents remain accessible for browsing, searching, viewing, and exporting. Adding, importing, editing, OCR, deletion, and other persistent library changes require a license.
- Guard enters a restricted recovery mode. Existing Archives may still be opened, browsed, verified, and restored. Creating snapshots, creating or editing Jobs, running retention, and deleting protected Job data require a license.
Trial expiry does not intentionally delete your documents, files, or Archives.
6. Delivery and performance
After the Merchant of Record confirms payment, you receive a download and a license file or license key by email, normally immediately and in any event without undue delay. Keep the license file safe and back it up.
7. Right of withdrawal
As a Consumer buying at a distance you generally have 14 days to withdraw from the contract without giving a reason. The period begins when the contract is concluded.
For digital content supplied immediately, this right lapses only where mandatory law permits that result and you have first expressly consented to immediate performance and acknowledged that you thereby lose the right of withdrawal. The current checkout does not obtain a separate express consent and acknowledgement from you for this purpose. Albedo One therefore does not treat merely placing the order, downloading the software, entering the licence, or using the software as a waiver of the 14-day withdrawal right. If a future checkout obtains a legally valid consent and acknowledgement before delivery, the checkout and the order confirmation will state that clearly.
Because a full-featured 30-day Trial is available before purchase, you can evaluate both products without relying on the withdrawal right.
To withdraw, send the model withdrawal form or any other unequivocal statement to hello@getalbedoone.com or to the postal address in Section 1 before the period expires. You may also contact the Merchant of Record identified on your order confirmation. Email is preferred because it provides a dated record. You do not have to use the model form or give a reason. Albedo One will coordinate any refund with the Merchant of Record.
After withdrawal, you must stop using the paid licence and delete or disable the licence file or key. Withdrawal does not transfer ownership of, or require you to delete, your own documents, files, or Archives.
8. Conformity and your remedies
The Licensor is responsible for supplying software that conforms to the contract, and for supplying updates — including security updates — needed to keep it in conformity for the period required by law.
If the software does not conform, you are entitled to the statutory remedies, which may include correction, price reduction, termination of the contract, refund, and damages, in the order and on the conditions the law provides. These rights are free of charge to you and are not reduced by the End User License Agreement.
The Licensor does not promise error-free, uninterrupted, or universally compatible software, and does not promise that every file, format, device, or configuration is supported. These are capability boundaries and do not reduce your statutory conformity rights.
9. Complaints and dispute resolution
Complaints may be submitted by email to hello@getalbedoone.com, by post to the address in Section 1, or by telephone during the published telephone hours. The separate Complaints Procedure describes how a complaint is recorded, acknowledged, and answered, and identifies the available out-of-court consumer dispute resolution route.
Nothing in the End User License Agreement requires you to use informal or alternative dispute resolution before going to court, or deprives you of the courts and dispute-resolution bodies available to you under mandatory law.
10. Duration and termination
The license is perpetual for the covered major version family (Nest 1.x, Guard 1.x). It does not expire and there is nothing to cancel.
The Licensor may terminate the license only for a material breach of the End User License Agreement, with 30 days to remedy a breach that can be remedied. Termination does not transfer ownership of or intentionally delete your documents, files, or Archives.
