Get Guard.

Guard is local desktop software. You download it once, install it, and use it on your own computer. No account required.

Guard does not require internet access and does not connect to the internet automatically. Online actions happen only when you choose them.

Version 1.0.0 · Windows 10 or later, 64-bit · 54.5 MB

Download security

Guard installers are digitally signed by Dejan Stanojević using an SSL.com-issued Individual Validated code-signing certificate. This allows Windows to verify the publisher and detect whether the installer has been modified after signing.

To verify the signature yourself, right-click the downloaded installer, select Properties → Digital Signatures, and confirm that the signer is Dejan Stanojević and that Windows reports the digital signature as valid.

What you'll get

  • A Windows desktop installer.
  • A free 30-day trial, no account needed to start.
  • The same Guard application a one-time license unlocks.
  • Restoring your files is never license-gated; it keeps working after the trial.
  • No account, no subscription, no cloud storage.

What Guard protects

Guard protects the specific folders you choose (a Documents folder, a projects folder, a photo library) by taking manual snapshots you can restore from later, and verify when you want to. It is not a whole-disk or system-image backup, and it never moves or changes your original files.

System requirements

Windows 10 or later, 64-bit. macOS and Linux are being considered for later versions but are not promised yet.
